We usually think of seagulls and large bodies of water, but thousands hang out on our river at night. They then disperse into the farmlands at the start of day. These ring-billed gulls frantically swarm a tractor tilling a field and grab at overwintering creatures in the soil being exposed to the late winter skies. I took these photos January 24, 2024.
